There are many ways to get additional water:

- water well

- achievements
- quests (like the bamboo planting one)
- fountain (available in the Flower Carnival event)

- the barrels that you can get from expedition

- Paul's truck market (deals updated every 2 hours or instantly if you buy everything)

- resource quest in the expedition which provides you with water and lots of useful resources.
