To get a sheep - be sure to do quests with Paul the Merchant.

 

Because very first sheep that you will recieve will be a reward for a quest with him :)

Before this quest you'll have to complete following quests:

and then there will be a quest for a sheep.

After a while, you will be able to buy more sheep from Paul!
